Fundacja Habitat for Humanity Poland ma na celu poprawę sytuacji mieszkaniowej w Polsce. W zakres jej działań wchodzi: remontowanie i budowanie mieszkań oraz domów, akcje fundraisingowe, a także uświadamianie społeczności lokalnej na temat sytuacji mieszkaniowej w Polsce. Razem z fundacją, Międzynarodowa Szkoła Europejska im. Jana Kułakowskiego brała udział w dwóch akcjach remontowych w Centrum Praw Kobiet. Jest to budynek biurowy, który fundacja przekształca obecnie w budynek mieszkalny na rzecz kobiet potrzebujących tymczasowego mieszkania. W pierwszej z tych akcji uczniowie naszej szkoły tłumaczyli wolontariuszom z Ameryki, którzy przyjechali w ramach programu Global Village, jakie zadania mają wykonać, a druga akcja miała głównie remontowy charakter. Grupa Habitat for Humanity Poland IES zorganizowała również wspólnie z fundacją koncert świąteczny, podczas którego zbierano pieniądze na rzecz fundacji.

Habitat for Humanity Poland is a charity foundation, which focuses on housing problems in Poland. The work they do includes: renovating flats and building houses for people in need, raising awareness on the matter of housing problems in Poland and organising fundraising events. Together with the foundation, International European of Warsaw took part in two renovating actions at the Centre of Rights of Women. It’s an office building, which is currently being transformed into a housing area for women in need of temporary accommodation. During the first action, students of our school translated commands from the site instructors to volunteers from the United States, who participated in the Global Village programme. Furthermore, our school group of Habitat for Humanity Poland organized a charity concert for the foundation, where we raised money for the foundation.
